The snow fell silently from the night sky, covering the Townsville in a crystal white blanket. It was Christmas Eve and even the villains decided to take a holiday. Since there were evil villains about, the teenage Powerpuff girls decided it was a perfect day for a walk. Well, Blossom and Bubbles did. Buttercup was sort of 'talked' into it.
Buttercup trudged through the snow behind her sisters, grumbling under her breath.
"C'mon, Buttercup," said Bubbles, "Cheer up."
"No."
"It's not like we can do this every day. We should take advantage of this quiet day and enjoy ourselves," said Blossom.
Buttercup scowled and rolled her eyes. Then she glanced down at the ground. A mischievous smile spread across her lips as her eyes travelled up to her sisters.
"Guess who I ran into at the mall," said Blossom.
"Who?" asked Bubbles, suddenly interested.
"I saw-oof!" A snowball hit her in the back of the head. "Hey!" She turned and glared at her sister. The green Powerpuff blinked and pointed to herself, smiling innocently.
"You're gonna pay for that," grinned Blossom as she scooped up a handful of snow. She packed in into a hard snowball and threw it, hitting Buttercup in the face. Blossom and Bubbles doubled over in laughter. Buttercup wiped the snow off of her face and glared at her sisters.
A flash of green and the red Powerpuff laid on the snow covered sidewalk. Blossom looked up to see Buttercup standing over her with a huge ball of snow. She smiled and raised the ball above her head. She went to throw it down when a snowball hit her in the back of her head. She looked behind her. Her blue sister waved and giggled.
Buttercup turned and hurled the huge snowball at her. Bubbles dodged it and threw another snowball at her sister. Buttercup caught it and threw it back. Bubbles dodged it and flew towards her. Buttercup sidestepped her and stuck her foot out, tripping her sister. Bubbles squeaked and fell on top of Blossom. Now it was Buttercup's turn to double over in laughter.
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
"Do you hear that?" asked Blossom, pushing Bubbles off of her.
"Hear what?" asked Buttercup, wiping away a tear and straightened up.
"Sounds like bells," said Bubbles, standing up.
In the lane, snow is glistening
They looked down the street. A faint jingling sound was coming towards them.  They all looked at each other, then back down the road. A large red sleigh pulled by two white horses was coming towards them.
A beautiful sight
"Is that who I think it is?" asked Bubbles.
We're happy tonight.
"It can't be," said Blossom.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
"It is," frowned Buttercup.
"The Rowdyruff Boys," they said in unison as the sleigh pulled to a stop in front of them.
Brick, Boomer, and Butch smiled down at the girls, "Hey Ladies."
"What do you want?" asked Blossom.
"A sleigh ride," said Brick.
"Why?" asked Bubbles.
"It's Christmas Eve," said Boomer, "Isn't that reason enough?"
"But we're enemies," said Buttercup.
"Can't we call a truce?" asked Butch. "Just for today?"
The Powerpuffs frowned and looked at each other. They shrugged and looked back at the Rowdyruffs.
"Fine," they said, sticking their hands out, "truce."
"Truce," said the boys, accepting their hands. They smiled and pulled the girls onto the sleigh. With a few grumbles, the girls sat down, Blossom next to Brick, Bubbles next to Boomer, Buttercup next to Butch. Brick cracked the whip and the sleigh took off towards the park.
Gone away is the bluebird,
As they entered the park, a bluebird flew over them.
Here to stay is a new bird
"Hey look! A cardinal!" said Blossom, pointing to a bright red bird sitting on a snow covered branch.
Brick looked at her and Bubbles blushed.
He sings a love song,
"What a beautiful song he's singing," said Bubbles.
"It is pretty, isn't it?" said Boomer. He glanced at her and smiled. Bubbles glanced down at her hands, blushing.
As we go along,
The sleigh pulled to a stop and the boys jumped down. They looked up at the girls and offered their arms.
"M'lady," they said in unison.
The girls smirked and stepped down, ignoring the boys' arms. They started walking away and the boys shrugged and followed.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
They walked in silence for a few moments, the girls in front, chatting about the boys, and the boys in back, talking about the girls. Then, without the warning, the girls took off. The boys were stunned for a moment, then they took after them.
Bubbles looked at Blossom. Blossom glanced at Buttercup. Buttercup grinned at Bubbles.
"Snowball fight?" said Blossom.
"No," said Buttercup.
"No?" said Bubbles.
"Epic Snowball Fight," said Buttercup, diving down towards the ground. Her sisters followed her and they scooped up some snow. They rose back up, packing the snow into a rock-hard ball of ice. They stopped in midair and waited for the boys to come within range.
"What are they doing?" asked Brick.
"Looks like they're waiting for us," said Boomer. "How sweet."
"What's that they have in their hands?" said Butch.
As they flew closer, realization hit them. Actually, the snowballs hit them, then the realization.
"SNOWBALL FIGHT!"
With that battle cry, the fight was on!  Soon the sky was filled with flying snowballs and flashes of red, blue and green. The girls split up, taking on their own counterparts. Blossom swooped down, grabbed a handful of snow, and came back up. She looked back at Brick and grinned mischievously. Brick was slowly gaining on her, carrying his own snowy weapon. He took aim and fired. Blossom looked behind her and saw the snowball hurtling towards her. She turned in midair, caught the snowball, and threw her own.
"Hey Brick!" she called.
"Huh?" The snowball hit him square in the face. He shook his head and glared at her – and a second snowball hit him in the face. Blossom laughed and Brick flew after her. As Brick chased Blossom, Boomer and Bubbles were deep in their own snowball fight.
Bubbles flew between the trees, dodging the snowballs as they rained down on her. Boomer scooped up handful after handful of snow and hurled it at Bubbles. Bubbles weaved through the trees, snatching a snowball out of the air and throwing it back. She snatched another one and threw it back. This continued, back and forth, until, suddenly, the barrage stopped. Bubbles floated in midair, listening carefully.
"Bubbles."
Bubbles felt someone tap her on her shoulder, "Huh?" She turned and received a face full of snow. Boomer nearly fell out of the air, he was laughing so hard. Bubbles growled and flew at him. Boomer yelped and took off. They flew past Butch, who was locked in an epic battle with Buttercup.
"You think you can get me?" Buttercup called over her shoulder.
"Of course I do," Butch called, throwing a snowball at her.
"We'll see about that," said Buttercup, dodging the snowball.
She flew close to the ground, weaving around the tree trunks, searching for the perfect spot. She spotted the perfect clearing and screeched to a halt.
"Perfect!" She flew over and started to whip up the snow.
"Where'd she go?" Butch paused in midair and looked around.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
A flash of green caught his eye and he looked down. In a snowy clearing, there was a snowman
And pretend that he is Parson Brown
And oddly enough, it looked like a priest. He flew down to take a closer look. He set down beside it and walked around it, inspecting it from all angles. He stopped in front of it and looked closely at its face.
He'll say: Are you married?
Buttercup burst out of the snowman, shoving a fistful of snow in Butch's face.
We'll say: No man,
Butch sputtered and stumbled back, tripping on a fallen branch.
But you can do the job
Buttercup walked over and bent over him. Her hair fell in front of her face and she tucked it behind her ear.
When you're in town.
"You okay?" she asked, offering her hand.
Butch looked up at her. "Yeah," he said taking her hand. She pulled him to his feet, a small on her lips. Butch smiled back, then shoved a snowball in her face.
"Hey!" Butch snickered and Buttercup tackled him.
The snowball fight went on for at least half an hour till, cold and exhausted, the Powerpuffs and the Rowdyruffs sat down around a warm fire in the clearing. The final score was  52 to 49, the girls winning by a landslide. The girls were sitting on one side of the fire and the boys sat on the other.
Later on, we'll conspire,
"You know what we should do?" said Blossom.
"What?" asked Brick.
As we dream by the fire
"We should do this every year,"  said Blossom.
"Really?" said Boomer.
"Yeah," said Bubbles, "It can be our little secret."
To face unafraid,
"That sounds good to me," said Butch.
Buttercup shrugged, "Sure. Why not?"
The plans that we've made,
"Then it's decided," said Blossom, "We'll keep this our little secret. Agreed?"
Everyone smiled and nodded.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
"So," said Buttercup, "What are going to do know?"
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
"Snowman time!" yelled Bubbles, throwing her arms up.
"Sounds good to me," said Boomer.
"Yay!" Bubbles took off, and the whole gang followed her.
"Oh! The fire," said Blossom, turning back to put out the fire. She blew on it, turning the fire to ice, then took off. She passed Brick and stopped.
"Hey," said Blossom, "What are you doing?"
"Waiting for you," he said, flying to her side.
"Oh," she said, a slight blush warming her face, "thanks."
"C'mon guys!" called Bubbles.
"Coming," called Brick. He smiled at Blossom and stuck out his hand, "Let's go."
Blossom smiled and took his hand. They flew, hand in hand, to the clearing where Bubbles and Boomer were making a snowman.
And pretend that he's a circus clown
"It looks like a clown," said Blossom.
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
"Clowns are creepy," said Buttercup.
Until the other kids knock him down.
Buttercup looked at the snow clown and grinned mischievously. She slid over to it, whistling innocently. With a nudge of her elbow, the snow clown toppled over.
"Hey!" shouted Bubbles.
"It's okay, Bubbles," said Boomer, "We'll build another one."
Bubbles looked at Boomer with a pouty look and Boomer's heart practically melted. He walked over and gave her a hug. He whispered in her ear and led her to the remains of the snow clown. Together, they started to build a new snowman.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling?
It started snowing as they finished their new snowman.
Though your nose gets a chilling
"My nose is getting cold," said Buttercup, rubbing her red nose.
"Here," said Butch. He pulled her close and kissed her nose. "Better?"
Buttercup flushed deep red and her sisters doubled over in laughter.
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
"C'mon," said Brick, taking Blossom's hand, "let's head back."
Walking in a winter wonderland.
With Blossom and Brick in the lead, Boomer took Bubbles' hand and followed and Butch and Buttercup brought up the rear. As they walked, Butch slipped his arm around Buttercup's waist, Boomer wrapped his arm Bubbles' shoulders, and Brick managed to kiss Blossom on the cheek.
They were walking under a silver birch when something caught Bubbles' eye. She looked up and saw a small bush in the tree limbs. She looked closer and gasped.
"What?" said Boomer.
"Is that what I think it is?" She pulled him closer to the tree.
Blossom and Buttercup, also curious about the plant, walked over to their sister and looked up.
"Is it?" said Blossom.
"I think it is," said Buttercup.
"What is it?" asked the boys in unison.
The girls looked back at them. They pointed up and smiled coyly, "Mistletoe."
The boys looked up, then at the girls, then back up. Then a small smile spread over the boys' lips and they moved closer to the girls. Brick slipped his hands around Blossom's waist and kissed her gently on the lips. Boomer wrapped his arms around Bubbles' waist and kissed her on the lips, lifting her off the ground slightly. Butch took Buttercup's hand, pulled her close, dipped her, and gave her a French kiss.
They straightened up and pulled back. They looked at the other two couples, who simply smiled and started walking away. They reached the sleigh, and got in. Brick, with Blossom hugging onto his arm, drove. Boomer and Bubbles were cuddled together on the seat next to them. Buttercup was sitting in Butch's lap in the backseat, her legs stretched out on the seat.
When they got back to the girls' house, the boys helped them down. They kissed and said goodbye and the boys pulled away. The girls walked inside and the Professor greeted them.
"Hello girls," he said, "How was your day?"
The girls smiled at each other, "The best Christmas Eve ever."
"That's good," said the Professor, not noting the excitement in their tone.
Meanwhile, at the Mojo Jojo's lair, the Rowdyruffs were just returning.
"Boys!" said Mojo Jojo, coming out of the kitchen, holding a pan of Christmas cookies. "Welcome home.  How was your day?"
The boys glanced at each other, trying to repress their smiles, "Pretty good."
They went upstairs, changed, climbed into bed, and sighed. As they drifted off to sleep, their minds filled with dreams of the Powerpuff Girls. Unbeknownst to the Rowdyruff Boys, the Powerpuff Girls were dreaming of them.
As their sugarplum vision dreams intertwined, Santa looked up from his crystal snowball. He sat back in his chair and sighed, smiling happily. He stood up and picked up his hat and coat. He walked out of his office to prepare for his winter night ride. On his desk, beside his crystal snowball, laid a letter from Mojo Jojo.
Dear Santa,
I know I'm not the best monkey in the world and I know I haven't written you since…ever but, if you could so this one thing for me, I would be very grateful. I just want my boys to be happy this Christmas. If you could grant me this one wish, I promise I'll be a better monkey.
~Mojo Jojo
Santa smiled to himself as the elves loaded his sack into his sleigh and hitched up his reindeer. He got in and cracked the whip over the reindeer. The reindeer took off and the jolly old elf made his rounds, passing out presents to the good boy and girls. As he passed over Townsville he shouted into the night:
"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"
